Deep Dive Hire is seeking a Network Engineer for a global innovator in technology solutions for sectors such as transportation and defence. This company uses cutting-edge technology to improve everyday journeys and support security, offering a dynamic environment for its employees.Role Overview
We are looking for a Network Engineer to join the team and provide consultancy and operational support for customer networks. This role will focus on managing network health, resolving incidents, and supporting a range of network infrastructure, with opportunities to contribute to project requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Support network-related incidents and service requests, meeting defined SLAs.
- Monitor, manage, and report on network health using tools like SolarWinds Network Performance Manager.
- Install and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Administer protocols such as MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IPSEC, and PVST.
- Develop and maintain clear and accurate network documentation.
- Recommend and implement network equipment based on project needs.
- Provide 3rd line support, including out-of-hours and on-call support as required.
Requirements
Essential:- Degree in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Solid experience with multi-site LAN and WAN network solutions, primarily using Cisco products.
- Deep knowledge of secure network technologies, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion prevention.
- Experience with Cisco Branch and Edge Routers, data centre switches, ASA/FTD firewalls, and load balancers like F5 or Fortinet ADC.
- Knowledge of Azure/AWS cloud networking.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux, ITIL, and additional firewalls (Barracuda, Palo Alto).
- Skills in tools such as SolarWinds Orion, CiscoWorks LMS, and NetFlow.
- Highly self-motivated and reliable, with a proactive approach.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible, able to prioritize effectively and handle multiple tasks.
- Willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
